Land Rover includes Twitter marketing his New York Auto show promotion

AdAge and others fall that history as Land Rover is planning to use Twitter.


Two things make this a unique.


First, is Land Rover # hashtags (# LRNY) into your Twitter online and offline marketing activities including. I guess you could say that # skittles was the first really do this as a brand marketing efforts, but it sounds the tags as Land Rover further will take it, relating to the promotion. While Land Rover 'push their day users' user with their twiter search results page for the day, Skittles 'moved'. My guess is that the Skittles strategy is effective but your brand better for this approach is appropriate.


The second unique aspect (for a great brand) of Land Rover's marketing on twitter for money is that you use Twittad as part of the campaign. Twittad is a twist on things set to use their followers by the partnership with existing Twitter users. It sounds as you take Twitter profile pages for a period of time the user and can send tweets to your followers and the users are then paid. It's not immediately clear how the user selected for relevance to the theme based or to achieve maximize / minimize duplication, and so on.



Land Rover not the only national marketers do remain so for long, should said James Eliason, CEO of Twittad, Des Moines based "social media affinity network" Wunderman Land Rover's tapped launch boost.


Twittad sounds good at first, but it's interesting to see how users react. The model will be almost certainly must evolve to true to provide measurable value for your customers. Only, because it is cheap, doesn't mean that it is a good deal.
